Nationwide provided me with information regarding its blog post.

Everyone loves their car, but the toughest job is to keep it well maintained and like new forever. You’ve probably spent a significant amount of money to get your dream car, so it’s very important for you to take good care of your car and keep it in tip-top shape! Without proper care, your car can deteriorate quickly and it will most likely not run as smoothly as it did when you first got it. So here are some great tips on how to keep your car in perfect condition.

(1) Stay on top of your scheduled maintenances

This tip is pretty self-explanatory, but if you’re anything like me, you will probably forget to schedule that routine oil change that the manufacturer recommends. Stay on top of your routine maintenance appointments and always try to get high-quality synthetic oil. High-quality products come with a bigger price tag, but it is worth it if you want your car to last you for the long-run.

 (2) Check your card fluids

Check in on your car fluid every 20,000 miles or so. A fast check can save you time and money down the line. Check your car manual for what the norms are when it comes to your car model. Stay on top of your brake fluids, power steering and coolants. If you see something that raises any red flags, take your car to get serviced! Preventive care is key and in most of the times, way inexpensive.

(3) Warm up your car while starting

If your car has been idle for a long time, for instance overnight or so, then it is recommended not to start driving it immediately. During this idle period, the oil settles into the oil pan, leaving the moving parts of the vehicle engine without lubrication. So it is suggested to start the engine and wait for a minute to let your car warm up. This will let the oil pump and can significantly extend your car’s lifetime!
